Sofia Mano- Portugal 500 hr EYT- Pranaluz Graduate
Yoga for mental heath
I was born in Lisbon in 1989. I lived most of my life in Sintra. Yoga is a lifestyle for me. I love to read, climb mountains, travel, step on sand, listen to the waves and imagine that I am every wave that comes back to the sea. I like to close my eyes and imagine. I have several sources of inspiration: nature, movement, body, art, music, silence, poetry, and all the different forms of life with whom we share this planet we inhabit. I believe that there is something superior to us and that the nature around us reminds us of it every day. I do not consume products of animal origin. I drink a lot of water and I never drank coffee. I like to think that every person that comes across me has a purpose in my life. I believe in the love and simplicity of things. I believe in our divine essence. Increasingly. And I believe that what I see in you is a reflection of me, and vice versa. I believe that if we can imagine, we can achieve. I like to follow my intuition and believe in signs. I have fears, doubts and bad days.

After doing my 300 hour YTT with Pranaluz in Bali I found that I not only grew into a stronger, more confident teacher but also as a person. I was encouraged to explore new ways of teaching including ques, sequencing and finding confidence in teaching more advanced asanas. The knowledge surrounding anatomy and philosophy was in depth and and extremely well presented. I find meditation a tricky thing to teach, even after my 200 hour YTT, but after Pranaluz I have so many techniques to share and am much more comfortable in the language to use when teaching others. Not to mention how deep my own practice has become! Each and every teacher at Pranaluz has a certain magic to them.
